Hope brightens the future

What an absolute joy it was to hold this Christmas Hope 2022 event at Treacy Hall, Wakefield Cathedral! We had heaps of people, families and children, enjoying Christmas crafts and stories as well as hanging their hopes and prayers for 2023 on the Christmas tree.

Carollers from all different churches in Wakefield sang together, bringing some cheer and starting Christmas off with joyful vibes and energy!

A huge thank you to all who came and to those who got stuck in with helping!

Christmas? A story of hope. Uncertain times are difficult. When God gave His son, Jesus, He gave hope. He is the light in our darkness.

Jesus has set us free from a life of fear and destruction, we have found life and light by following Him! As followers of Jesus here in Wakefield we want to share our hope with you, especially in these very uncertain times with many finding themselves in difficult situations. You can learn more about Jesus and christianity on the ‘About Christianity’ page or contact any of us from our About us’ page.

If you came to our Christmas Hope event on Saturday 3rd December at Treacy Hall and wrote your hopes and prayers for 2023, we will be praying for you! There was also an ‘Answered Prayer’ wall, click here to see what people wrote and here to learn more about the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer!
